Labor Day Weekend

Each Labor Day Weekend Edisto has a Shag Festival at Bay Creek Park next to the Marina at Edisto Beach. The festivities begin on Friday night with live music, arts & crafts vendors, and food vendors. A different band plays each night and throughout the day on Saturday, there are Shag performances and plenty of dancing. VBF is great at catching you up if you didn’t read the first book, but there is only one other so far…so why wouldn’t you just snag and read both! Disclaimer: there is some spicy in this book. So if that isn’t your thing…maybe it’s not for you, but I like a little spicy every now and then. 😃

FINALLY pulling The Violet Hour by Victoria Benton Frank from my TBR pile. I absolutely adored My Magnolia Summer, and while The Violet Hour could technically be read as a standalone… I wouldn’t recommend it.
My Magnolia Summer is just too good to skip and even though book two fills you in as you go, there’s nothing quite like experiencing the original.

Feeling a little homesick for the low country!

VBF is great at catching you up if you didn’t read the first book, but there is only one other so far…so why wouldn’t you just snag and read both! Disclaimer: there is some spicy in this book.
