VBF is great at catching you up if you didn’t read the first book, but there is only one other so far…so why wouldn’t you just snag and read both! Disclaimer: there is some spicy in this book. FINALLY pulling The Violet Hour by Victoria Benton Frank from my TBR pile. I absolutely adored My Magnolia Summer, and while The Violet Hour could technically be read as a standalone… I wouldn’t recommend it.
My Magnolia Summer is just too good to skip and even though book two fills you in as you go, there’s nothing quite like experiencing the original.
