Accommodations
Edisto Beach has no hotels or high-rises; all accommodations are through rental homes or condos.
Our local rental agencies have a reputation for both quality and cleanliness, but they are taking extra precautions to ensure cleanliness and your safety are top priorities! All of our accommodation partners are taking care to and follow all CDC guidelines. A great example of the extra care being taken can be found at Atwood Vacations where inspectors and housekeeping teams are fully equipped with PPE and EPA approved products to clean and disinfect all soft and hard surfaces of rental properties per CDC guidelines, ensuring to clean and disinfect all high-touch surfaces, including less thought about items such as shower curtains, rugs, and more.
At Wyndham Ocean Ridge, they are following a 7-step disinfecting, cleaning, and sanitizing process in all suites. All associates are required to wear masks and gloves when going into owner/guest suites. They are also using Electrostatic cleaning methods on all equipment and offices. They even take it one step further by offering curbside check-in to enhance social distancing and reduce crowds in the lobby. Amenities still remain closed at this time; however, owners and guests are able to make pool reservations once they check-in.
Egrets Pointe Townhouses is continuing with their outstanding cleaning and taking the necessary precautions to ensure each townhouse is properly disinfected and sanitized before the arrival of new guests. The products used are from the CDC approved list of disinfectants recommended.
At Edisto Realty, all homes are cleaned by professional cleaning companies. The cleaners understand the importance of their role, ensuring a safe environment for our guests. Particular attention is being paid to sanitizing all surfaces in each property.
Each rental agency has its own unique set of standards, so if you’re curious about what steps are being taken to clean your potential vacation accommodations, be sure to reach out to the lodging provider.
Dining Out
Both our grocery stores and most restaurant’s dining rooms are open with limited capacity to ensure social distancing. Restaurateurs have a variety of ways to serve guests safely, including outdoor seating options, takeout and curbside pickup, and some even offer delivery options! Check out Edisto’s newest restaurant offering BBQ AND a raw bar – the Briny Swine. Try Waterfront Restaurant, Dockside Bar and Grill, Tortugas, or The SeaCow Eatery for takeout. Dine outdoors at McConkeys Jungle Shack, dine on the dock at Pressley’s at the Marina (dinner with a view? Yes please!), or order delivery from La Retta’s Pizzeria. Indoor dining is available, as well, at most restaurants, with a requirement of 50% capacity seating inside to ensure social distancing between tables.
